About the Authority

The Berrien County Medical Control Authority establishes the written protocols under which licensed emergency medical services agencies and personnel practice in Berrien County. Protocols are developed with the participation of the county's EMS system, approved by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and carry the force of law for all participants in prehospital care.
